Dr Rahul Rindani

Urologist

Dr Rahul Rindani is a highly experienced urologist and urological surgeon consulting and operating across the Illawarra region.

He completed high school at Oak Flats High School in Oak Flats, and then went on to complete his medical education at the University of New South Wales, which he graduated from in 1994.  Dr Rindani then completed his urological specialist training in NSW, achieving Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons in 2004.  He then embarked on additional, sub-specialised training completing a 1-year training fellowship in Manchester, UK.

Dr Rindani is the current Head of Urology Service at the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District, which he has held since 2012.  His clinical practice now focuses on uro-oncolgy surgery, providing a modern approach accompanied by high-quality care to all his patients.

Dr Rindani is highly involved in the teaching and training of junior doctors and junior urologists.  Rahul has been part of a team of urologists responsible for the training of 3 advanced urology registrars every year since he became a consultant in 2005. He also lectures medical students at the University of Wollongong School of Medicine.

Rahul lives in the Illawarra area with his wife and 3 children.

  • Annual volunteering of my time and operative skills in Fiji along with a group of other volunteer surgeons and medical professionals.
  • Volunteering with Street side Medics – a GP led mobile service delivering healthcare to those experiencing homelessness in the Illawarra.
