Urologist

Dr Rasha Gendy completed her undergraduate medical degree at the University of New South Wales, graduating with first class honours.

Immediately following the completion of her internship and residency at St George Hospital, Dr Gendy was selected for entry onto the urological training specialist pathway. She then undertook six years of Advanced Surgical Training for Urology across multiple high-volume units in NSW whilst also completing her Masters of Surgery Degree (MS) with a focus on Urology through the University of Sydney. In 2018, Dr Gendy was awarded the prestigious George Schnitzler Award for Registrar of the Year. At the completion of her training, Dr Gendy was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS).

In order to refine her subspecialist skills and better serve her patients with cutting edge care, Dr Gendy undertook an additional international Advanced Robotic and Laparoscopic Uro-oncology Fellowship in the United Kingdom. Dr Gendy has therefore been able to utilise the skills and expertise garnered through her rigorous training so as to fulfil her passion which is to provide the best quality urological care for her patients with utmost professionalism, care and compassion. She is thrilled to be providing urological care to patients in the Illawarra and beyond.
